The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Fighters Party

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a diverse cast of personalities, and a gripping narrative showcasing divine entities, evil spirits, and malevolent powers increasing in influence within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Spoilers for Episode 3 of this adventure follow below.

The Warrior Group Introduced

The third episode ended with a huge suspense moment and presented the first table of characters who will branch out from the main group to undertake their independent quest, separate from the other two tables.

This warrior group consists of the determined fighter (brought to life by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

With 13 cast members, it was evident from the beginning that having everyone at the same party would be impossible.

That’s why, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, intertwining the individual narratives before dividing into three distinct groups: Fighters, Planners, and Questers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

Per the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for participants who enjoy a traditionally charged battle-oriented gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are scarce.

Initially, characters like the hesitant healer the cleric might look mismatched, but the events of the latest installment make it clear why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

First, the team understands precisely where to proceed after a brutal first encounter with the enemy group.

A former ally of Thjazi—whose passing started the campaign’s events—used The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, striking Thimble, and swiping all the powerful objects to auction.

Casimir then cleared his liabilities and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, beyond the city, with Cyd hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Additionally, each character has a personal reason to leave the city the urban setting:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and trusted friend, desires retribution.
  • Kattigan has experience in the region and warns that it is a nasty environment.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having resisted his family’s wishes to eliminate the target and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • Yet, their reputation as key figures in the powerful family could enable the group reach places they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, The grateful character vowed a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his deliverance and will now go with him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are hunted by the rulers that rule Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and The character are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and Wicander turned against House Halovar and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This leaves them no alternative but to head to Timmony in pursuit of Casimir.

Upcoming Developments

Based on episode three’s post-show segment, we find out that the warrior group will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight players to round up the Seekers and Schemers parties.

Audiences can expect discovering which players will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, available to watch on October 24.
